Our programmes

Three courses.
One family. Many conversations.

Each programme addresses a different stage in the long relationship between parents and adult children around money. Begin where your family is.

Back to home

Our approach to every programme

The conversation first

Every module begins with how to open a conversation, not what to say once you are already in one.

Learning with peers

Small cohorts of parents in similar situations. What you hear from others is often as valuable as the curriculum.

Practice between sessions

Each module ends with one thing to try — not a large project, just a small, deliberate action to take before the next session.

Talking About Money with Adult Children HKD 1,780

Talking About Money with Adult Children

4 weeks  ·  In-person or online  ·  Max 12 participants

A four-week course for parents in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who want to have more considered conversations about money with adult children — about expectations, plans, and the occasional difficult topic. The course offers frameworks for opening these conversations at different life stages, recognising that a 22-year-old and a 35-year-old call for different approaches. It is practical without being prescriptive.

  • Opening money conversations without triggering defensiveness
  • Adapting your approach to your child's life stage
  • Handling expectations — theirs and yours
  • Workbook and conversation-starter cards included

Programme modules

1

Why these conversations feel hard

Exploring the emotional and relational patterns that make money a difficult topic between parents and adult children.

2

Mapping your child's financial world

Understanding what financial life looks like for adult children at different stages — and what they are likely to be worried about.

3

Opening the conversation

Practical frameworks for introducing financial topics — including the difficult ones — at the right moment and in the right register.

4

Keeping it going

How to make financial conversations a natural, recurring part of your relationship rather than a one-off event.

Programme modules

1

What financial capability actually means

Revisiting assumptions about what young adults need to know about money — and what they are already managing without you.

2

Gifts and loans within the family

The practical and relational consequences of financial transfers — and how to handle them without unintended outcomes.

3

Helping without crowding out

Supporting your adult child's financial decision-making without taking it over — and why the distinction matters more than parents often realise.

4

Sharing knowledge across generations

What financial experience from your own life is genuinely transferable — and what belongs to a different era.

5

Setting up conversations for the long term

Building the habits and shared language that make ongoing financial conversation feel natural rather than effortful.

6

Preparing for bigger conversations ahead

An introduction to the longer-horizon topics — inheritance, care, and the family meeting — that grow more important with time.

A ten-week programme for midlife parents who want to establish a regular rhythm of family financial conversations across the long span of shared adult years ahead.
